Last Updated 5 years ago

What is Verified By Visa & Mastercard Secure Code?
Verified By Visa and Mastercard Secure Code are extra security features that many people have on their credit cards. In short, it is an extra validation performed by the customer after the credit card has been used to prevent unauthorized charges. Cart32 is capable of using both systems through Cardinal Commerce.

There are two major things you need before you start accepting cards with Verified by Visa and Mastercard Secure Code: a Cardinal Commerce account and a merchant service provider who supports Cardinal Commerce. Most of the larger merchant service providers support Cardinal Commerce, but check with your merchant service provider to be sure. Once you've verified your merchant service provider can support Cardinal Commerce, you simply need to sign up for an account with Cardinal Commerce.

Setting Up Cart32 To Use Cardinal Commerce
Now that you have a Cardinal Commerce account and a merchant service provider who supports them, all you have to do to enable Cardinal Commerce within Cart32 is:
Log into your Cart32 Administration
Navigate to the Enterprise --> Verified By Visa/Mastercard Secure Code tab
Enable the Cardinal Commerce feature by choosing Yes on the radio button labeled Use This Feature
Fill out the Cardinal Processor ID and Cardinal Merchant ID fields with the information provided to you by Cardinal Commerce
Click Save
