Click here to continue shopping goes to wrong page
Posted by Matt Marler on 12 March 2010 12:11 PM
When clicking on the "Click Here To Continue Shopping" link you are either sent to http://www.cart32.com/cgi-bin/cart32.exe or the page you were viewing in your shopping cart reloads instead of returning you to the page before you entered the cart.

This is because Cart32 cannot determine the last page you were on before entering the cart, also known as the referer. The referer can be hidden by firewalls and privacy protection software. Without knowing the referer, Cart32 cannot return you to the page before you entered the cart.

Software packages that can cause this include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Norton Internet Security

  • Norton Personal Firewall

  • ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

  • ZoneAlarm PRO

  • Other privacy protection software

There are two solutions that we offer to alleviate this issue.

1. Temporarily deactivate your software package while you are visiting a site that uses Cart32 if you wish to use the Continue Shopping link. Consult the documentation that was provided with your software package for instructions on how to allow Cart32 powered websites through your privacy protection package.

2. Cart32 clients can modify the HTML code on the Cart32 template pages so that the Continue Shopping link is coded to return to a specific page instead of the referring page. For more information, see this page.
