How to setup Cart32 for cookie-based sessions
Posted by Matt Marler on 05 April 2010 10:52 AM
By default, Cart32 is setup to remember session information based on the IP address for a user. If orders are placed on different computers, but on the same network (IP address), users will see items added to cart by other users.

You can change Cart32 to utilize cookies to store session information instead.

NOTE: You must have physical access to the Cart32 files on the server, not FTP access.

1. Locate the Cart32.ini file located on the server in the CGI directory on a web install or in the Cart32 directory on a full install (under Program Files).

2. Follow this article in order to unhide the cart32.ini file on the server: Click Here

3. Add the following to the [MAIN] section of the .ini file: forcecookieson=1

4.Save the changes to the Cart32.ini file.
